The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of Public Health Science courses, including Introduction to Public Health, Personal Health and Wellness, Drugs Health and Society, and Social Justice and Health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Public Health Science courses, including face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats
  • Develop and revise curriculum to ensure subject matter currency and alignment with program goals
  • Assess student learning outcomes and participate in program evaluation
  • Participate in student recruitment and articulation activities with local schools and colleges
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching methodologies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Health Science, Health Education, Biology, Nursing, Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Dietetics, Nutrition, or Public Health
  • OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above fields and Master's degree in any biological science
  • OR The equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching Public Health Science courses
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment
  • Ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and community partners
