Job Title: Nursing Science/Clinical Practice Instructor, Part-time Adjunct Pool

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursing Science/Clinical Practice Instructor to join our part-time adjunct pool at Kern Community College District. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to teach a broad range of nursing courses and contribute to the development of our curriculum.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction in nursing science and clinical practice courses, as well as participating in curriculum development and assessment. You will work closely with our faculty and staff to ensure that our students receive a high-quality education and are prepared for success in their careers.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach nursing science and clinical practice courses to students at the Bakersfield Community College Main Campus
  • Develop and revise curriculum to ensure that it is current and relevant to the needs of our students
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools, colleges, and universities
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff
  • Maintain subject matter currency and stay up-to-date with industry developments
Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing or a related field, as well as two years of professional experience. Alternatively, you may have an associate degree and six years of professional experience. You must also have a demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
