Key Responsibilities:- Administer first aid and medications to children as needed.
- Assist in creating and maintaining health plans for children with chronic illnesses.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate health records for each child.
- Monitor and report signs of illness or injuries to parents/guardians and provide appropriate documentation.
- Help implement health and safety protocols in compliance with state and local health regulations.
- Support practices and infection control policies by monitoring symptoms, ensuring proper hygiene practices, and communicating with families regarding illnesses.
- Provide health education to staff regarding safety, hygiene, and wellness practices.
- Ensure that all first aid kits, medical supplies, and emergency medications are stocked and accessible.
- Medical Assistant (MA) Certification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with young children, staff, and families in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear instructions in emergencies.
- Flexible availability between 7am and 6pm.
- Knowledge of child care licensing requirements and health regulations in New York.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a pediatric or childcare setting.
- Experience working with children with special health care needs or chronic conditions.
