We are seeking a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Intermountain Medical Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams under the direction of a physician.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic cardiac/vascular exams using ultrasound technology
- Identify abnormalities and provide accurate results to physicians
- Coordinate exams with medical staff, physician offices, and other caregivers
- Mentor caregivers and students on basic equipment use and procedural technique
- Document exam results and other necessary information
- ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- One of three national registry credentials through ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI as applicable to the department
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
This role requires frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, as well as manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment. You will also be expected to lift and transport patients, as well as navigate crowded and busy rooms.
