Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Clackamas, Days, 32 hours

To provide diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinical setting, performing routine, emergent, portable, and surgical examinations in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities- Performing diagnostic procedures using knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the age of the patient served.
- Communicating with cardiologists and assisting patients/transporting them as needed.
- Entering data, filing work, restocking supplies, and performing quality assurance functions.
- Participating in on-call or standby schedules as required.
- A minimum two-year AMA-approved program and successful completion of one year of ultrasound training and certification, or two years of allied health with successful completion and certification of a two-year ARDMS program, or successful completion of an AMA-accredited ultrasound program with ARDMS registration or CardioVascular Credentialing International (CCI) registration.
- High school diploma or general education development (GED) required.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from Cardiovascular Credentialing International or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate within 12 months of hire from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
- Sonography Technologist License (Oregon) and Basic Life Support within one month of hire.
- Completion of a formal training program.
- Previous experience with TEE, stress echo, and pediatric echosonography.
- Organizational skills, time management, prioritization, planning, attention to detail, problem-solving, decision-making, judgment, technical skills, initiative, communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations, adaptability, and flexibility.
