Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Event Setup and Teardown: Ensure that all meeting space events are set up and torn down in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Meeting Space Maintenance: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the meeting space, including the carpets, walls, walks, windows, and heating/air conditioning units.
  • Supply Management: Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and organized manner, stocked with all necessary supplies for meetings and food service functions.
  • Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures: Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and follow all hotel safety rules.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with event planners, chefs, and other hotel staff to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately, and maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Driver's License and MVR: Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record).
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly and work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
