Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Porter Medical Center. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in the office setting, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients of all ages and populations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Perform duties as assigned by clinical support staff, adhering to regulatory requirements, clinical policies, and procedures.
  • Assist physicians and team members with patient care, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training and/or experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • BLS certification and ability to work under pressure, adapting to medical situations as needed.
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to eight hours/day, bend, stoop, twist, and assist patients with mobility needs.
