Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Program Aide to join our team at the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The successful candidate will assist with planning, implementation, and documentation of educational, social, recreational, health-promoting, and inspirational programming for members of our senior community center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating activities for consumers in the senior center and for senior center members participating virtually/online.
  • Lead selected activities when requested.
  • Assist with the recording and monitoring of activity attendance records.
  • Assist with the production and distribution of the monthly program calendar, newsletter, and other mailings to promote the center.
  • Assist with organizing and storing program supplies.
  • Help set-up and manage distribution of center food resources.
  • Update Center Manager on progress and/or problems as they arise.
  • Direct consumers to the center's Social Service Coordinator to meet the unique needs of center participants.
  • Assist with administrative duties, such as preparing or filing reports, as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of participant information.
Requirements
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree, or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of additional education or experience in a related field or position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as part of a team.
  • Able to work effectively with older adults in a community setting respectful of their dignity and right to self-determination.
  • Adept at utilizing Microsoft Office and completing data entry.
  • Familiarity with social media preferred.
  • Willingness to follow directions consistently.
Physical Requirements
  • Sit, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during work hours.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc. up to 50 pounds.
Language
  • Written and oral fluency in Polish as well as English is preferred.
