Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time instructor to teach in the Nurse Aide Training Program at the Community College of Philadelphia. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and revising the educational curriculum to meet federal and state requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach approved nurse aide curriculum in a classroom and clinic setting
  • Maintain and update student competency and skills demonstration paperwork
  • Provide leadership in formulating goals and objectives of the Nurse Aide Training Program
  • Participate in annual on-site review process conducted by PDE
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the College's mission, vision, and values
Requirements
  • Associates degree required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN or LPN, with at least one year (2,000 hours) in a licensed long-term care facility
  • Pennsylvania Department of Education Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation (NATCEP) Teaching-the-Educator (TTE) certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a NATCEP instructor
  • Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations and addressing equity gaps
