Medical Laboratory Technician

At BioReference Laboratories, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in our Wall, NJ location. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to our patients and those of our partners.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures
- Properly explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection to patients
- Demonstrate expertise in blood draws and specimen preparation
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required
- Package specimens for transport and store them according to required temperature
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
- Attend annual department trainings and answer telephone calls
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where employed
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent patient interaction skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
