Mold Sampling Specialist

GreenWorks Environmental is seeking a dedicated Mold Sampling Technician to join our team of environmental experts. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in analyzing indoor air quality and helping our clients maintain a healthy environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for environmental science to gain hands-on experience in the field and laboratory. Our competitive salary range is $45,000 - $65,000/year, depending on experience, and we offer a range of benefits, including:

Responsibilities

As a Mold Sampling Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Collecting mold samples from various locations
• Running lab tests and completing preliminary findings reports
• Collaborating with our senior building biologist to analyze clients' indoor air quality
• Providing actionable insights to help clients maintain a healthy environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A science degree from an accredited 4-year university OR in the process of obtaining one
• Basic mold sample collection experience
• Basic experience with field sampling techniques and laboratory analysis
• Positive attitude, professional appearance, and ability to comply with a non-smoking workplace
• Ability to work in attics, access crawlspaces, and work independently
• Microbial inspection certification OR ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
• Valid driver's license

Our ideal candidate will have other environmental certifications, such as lead, asbestos, or industrial hygiene, and a passion for environmental science and a commitment to excellence.
