POSITION SUMMARY

MKTG Brand Advocates are passionate representatives of Dentsu Aegis who engage consumers with our brands during various promotional events, both on-site and off-site. Their primary role is to create memorable sampling experiences and assist consumers in making informed choices about our products. Advocates are expected to actively interact with consumers at the point of sale and during brand experiences, ultimately aiming to enhance brand recognition and loyalty. They embody the essence of the brands they represent, fostering a personal connection that builds consumer trust through education and product knowledge.

Brand Advocates have diverse responsibilities focused on engaging consumers to recognize, prefer, and purchase our brands. Therefore, MKTG seeks friendly, approachable, and professional individuals for this role. In addition to participating in promotional activities, Advocates are required to complete regular online training sessions to deepen their understanding of our brands. They must be capable of immersing themselves in extensive product knowledge, including category insights, production details, and brand specifics, and successfully demonstrate this knowledge through a final presentation at events.

This position is classified as Occasional Employment. Being hired as a Brand Advocate does not guarantee a specific number of assignments. Advocates must comply with all necessary documentation and adhere to MKTG Policies & Procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage and educate consumers at the point of experience, purchase, and consumption.
  • Humanize the brands and cultivate consumer trust through informative interactions.
  • Guide consumers through a sampling journey of featured products (where permitted by law).
  • Complete digital training for market brands and programs as directed.
  • Utilize technology platforms to receive and input necessary information for brand representation.
  • Arrive at events punctually, dressed appropriately as specified by the market team, and prepared to execute promotional activities.
  • Distribute promotional items to consumers.
  • Adhere to Responsible Server Guidelines and report any violations.
  • Pre-merchandise accounts with brand-specific point-of-sale materials.
  • Handle bar expenses or product purchases using a company-issued debit card.
  • Collect or accept delivery of promotional materials from the Event Team.
  • Ensure proper care and return of company property (e.g., uniforms, event materials).
  • Complete post-event recaps in the MKTG reporting system.
  • Capture digital event photos and contribute to the market's social media presence.
  • Understand how our brands differentiate from competitors and report on market activities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance suitable for consumer engagement.
  • Follow company policies and procedures diligently.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Outgoing personality with a strong understanding of brand representation - Advocates must complete training to grasp what the brand represents and how it stands out from competitors. They should be able to convey brand information to consumers in an engaging manner.
  • Personable and engaging - Advocates must approach consumers with a friendly and helpful demeanor, aiming to build trust in the brand.
  • Dependable - Advocates must consistently arrive at events prepared and ready to work until the event concludes.
Physical and Other Requirements:
  • Able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Able to carry heavy items as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
  • Meet consumer appeal and client marketing standards.
  • Approachable and capable of engaging consumers effectively.
