About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Conviva Care Centers in Port Orange. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-visit planning and manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
  • Obtain and record medical history and vital signs, and room patients for medical procedures and treatments
  • Perform specimen collection and point-of-care testing, and prepare and administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Maintain established quality control standards and participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program
  • Current CPR certification
  • 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish proficiency
  • Active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from a recognized organization
  • Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding, and Electronic Medical Records
  • Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience, and experience in a fast-paced/high-volume environment

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM
