Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Conviva Care Centers. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-visit planning and manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
  • Obtain and record medical history and vital signs
  • Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments
  • Perform specimen collection and point of care testing
  • Prepare and administer medications under the direction of healthcare providers
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Requirements
  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a Medical Assisting program
  • Current CPR certification
  • 1 or more years of Medical Assistant experience in 'back-office' direct patient care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish proficiency
  • An active Certified Medical Assistant/CMA or Registered Medical Assistant/RMA certification from one of the following organizations: AAMA, AMT, ARMA, MedCa, NAHP, NAHT, NCCT, NHA or AAH
  • Experience with HEDIS and ICD/CPT coding
  • Hands-on professional Phlebotomy experience
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
  • Experience in a fast-paced/high volume environment
Working Hours

Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
