Amergis is seeking a skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to provide behavioral support services in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned students.
- Assist students with daily activities, including classroom participation, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
- Manage assault/difficult behavior and implement crisis intervention strategies.
- Encourage independence and maintain student safety.
- Implement behavioral plans and document care according to Amergis policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with Amergis office staff and other stakeholders.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Full command of the English language, verbal and written.
- Current Health Certificate (if applicable).
- Current CPR card.
- Current TB Skin test or Chest X-ray.
- Successful completion of Company testing process.
