Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our Trauma and Surgical Unit at UW Health University Hospital. As a member of our team, you will provide exceptional care to patients with complex trauma and surgical needs.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care to multi-system trauma and high acuity surgical patients, including management of chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wounds, and mechanical ventilation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor and manage central venous pressure and arterial lines, as well as administer medications and blood products as needed.
- Participate in unit-specific quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- IMC and recent acute medical or surgical experience required.
- Must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
- Must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
- Must have successfully completed a traveler assignment (13 weeks).
- Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).
- Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.
