Position Overview:

The University seeks a dedicated Investigator to assess and analyze incidents related to various university policies and procedures. This role involves providing comprehensive oral and written reports to relevant stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough investigations in accordance with the Code of Student Conduct and Human Resources policies.
  • Collaborate with police services and other departments to investigate matters of discrimination, harassment, and criminal activity.
  • Work closely with General Counsel, Human Resources, and Student Affairs to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Report directly to senior university leaders, including the Chief Safety & Compliance Officer.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of formal investigative experience.
- Strong understanding of investigative procedures and the ability to learn quickly.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Proven ability to conduct interviews in an investigative context.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Experience in handling sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in employment law, civil rights, or social services.
- Familiarity with non-discrimination laws, including Title IX and Title VII.
- Experience in investigating complaints related to discrimination and harassment.

Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000.

Work Conditions:

This role may require non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends. A hybrid work schedule is available, allowing for a combination of on-campus and remote work.

Position Type:

This is an exempt position and is not part of a union.
