Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistive Technology Specialist to join our team at Voices for Independence. As a key member of our Assistive Technology Department, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and recommend assistive technologies to individuals with disabilities to increase their independence.
  • Provide training and support for assistive technologies to ensure effective use and integration into daily life.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and implement assistive technology solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in assistive technology and apply this knowledge to improve our services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills to assess client needs and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with assistive technology devices and software.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
