Job Title: Senior Network Operations Technician

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Operations Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, working closely with telecom providers to resolve problems.
  • Track incident details and update information in our incident management tool in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Solve systems and network problems with limited scope and complexity, applying technical knowledge to ensure high availability of IP networks, messaging systems, and data communications equipment.
  • Identify resolutions to routine technical queries from customers and business units, taking guidance from team members or management as needed.
  • Work with senior team members to resolve moderate to complex issues with critical customer services, taking a lead role in resolving less complex issues.
  • Use discretion to interpret and apply established processes, ensuring errors do not cause prolonged or widespread failures.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, resolving or escalating network issues as needed.
  • Understand deployment, configuration, and maintenance routines, developing tools to improve efficiency.
  • Participate in network solutions design and configurations.
  • Analyze issues and provide customers with guidance to resolve problems.
Requirements:
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience or AA/AS degree with 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Network+ Certification.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, computer hardware, and software interconnection and interfacing.
  • Knowledge and understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices.
  • Experience with HSRP/BGP routing protocols.
  • Strong Customer Service skills.
  • Must have great focus and attention to detail.
  • CCNA Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of Remedy, Netcool, Office 0365, ServiceNow preferred.
