Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Dosimetrist to join our team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. As a key member of our radiation oncology department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the precise delivery of radiation therapy to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement patient treatment plans using advanced computer software and manual techniques.
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and medical physicists to ensure accurate dose calculations and delivery.
  • Consult with physicians and therapists to ensure patient information and dose calculations are accurate.
  • Assist radiation therapists with patient setup procedures and monitor radiation safety guidelines.
  • Participate in clinical research and quality improvement processes to enhance patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, plus certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) or eligibility after completion of a JRCERT-accredited program in Medical Dosimetry.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
