Overview
Excel Talent Solutions - ETS is representing a prominent player in the airport baggage handling sector, which is currently broadening its reach within the North American region.
In your role as a pivotal contributor to our client's expansion in the aviation market, you will serve as the liaison between our client and key stakeholders in the industry.
Envision yourself establishing strong collaborations with airports, airlines, contractors, and consultants.Our client has already secured several significant projects, and your expertise will be crucial in addressing technical challenges, including design specifications and documentation.
The Senior Technical Project Manager will interact with clients to clarify technical requirements and will take ownership of these specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the technical design and integration processes to meet industry standards and fulfill client contracts from initiation to project completion.
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and partners (such as suppliers and consultants) regarding technical project elements.
• Define, plan, and oversee system simulation and testing to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Ensure system performance and quality standards are met.
• Coordinate submission packages (including DD, CD, TSA, BICE, and As-built) between the group company and subcontractors.
• Work alongside the project manager to maintain transparent communication regarding technical and commercial aspects of the project.
• Manage and coordinate technical interfaces, including client and external supplier interactions.
• Share responsibility for project costs, timelines, and quality, evaluating the technical and financial implications of decisions.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to create and review detailed purchase orders, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and scope.
• Co-manage the requirements management process, focusing on technical specifications and stakeholder engagement.
• Analyze requirements, define technical specifications, and assess the impact of technical changes.
• Lead the identification, assessment, and mitigation of technical project risks.
• Review technical documentation prior to client submission for approval.
• Co-manage gate/sub-gate meetings to ensure technical tasks are fulfilled and capture lessons learned.
• Co-manage the quality of final operations and maintenance documentation for customer support.
• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and final testing phases.
• Engage directly in the specification approval, design, production, installation, and commissioning processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field is preferred, along with a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in engineering, installation, commissioning, and testing of Airport BHS/ICS or similar systems.
• At least 5 years of experience leading project teams and related disciplines.
• PMP Certification is required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Proven ability to set and achieve goals, with a genuine concern for team success and a strong desire to contribute to a winning team.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as needed, up to 50% of the time.
