Objective:

The primary aim of this role is to support the college's mission and strategic goals through ongoing enhancement initiatives.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will deliver the State Nurse Aide curriculum and oversee learners in both practical and clinical environments. The curriculum encompasses 30 hours of theoretical instruction and 25 hours of practical skills training in a classroom/lab environment, along with 30 hours of clinical experience at a designated facility. Instructors have the flexibility to choose between face-to-face or hybrid course formats.

The scheduling for this position will be tailored to the instructor's availability and the needs of the courses.

Performance Expectations:
  • Stay informed about policies and protocols relevant to the program and associated clinical agencies.
  • Provide full instructional hours while utilizing time efficiently.
  • Demonstrate reliability and accountability in attendance and problem-solving.
  • Assist students in recognizing their strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to students and monitor their progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding students, residents, and facilities.

Physical Requirements:
This position involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking in various educational settings. Frequent activities include reaching, lifting, and performing tasks requiring dexterity. The role may require lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and traveling to different facilities for instructional purposes.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of two years of full-time RN experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate all technical skills required of students.
  • Completion of necessary training, including Bloodborne Pathogens and TB training.
