As a key member of the healthcare education team, the Simulation Technician plays a vital role in preparing, executing, and resetting healthcare simulations for both credit and non-credit courses at Kirkwood Community College.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality in all scheduled sessions.
2. Operate and maintain audio-visual and medical equipment effectively.
3. Manage simulation manikins and related technology.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of simulation spaces post-session.
5. Troubleshoot and repair equipment during simulation activities as necessary.
6. Collaborate with the Simulation Facilitator to design and implement educational scenarios, integrating technology into healthcare programs.
Essential Competencies:
- Advocate for continuous improvement and excellence.
- Collaborate with colleagues, taking responsibility for actions.
