Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Lead MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for coordinating the flow of work, delegating tasks, and ensuring that department operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee MRI procedures, ensuring that all diagnostic tests are performed according to department standards.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to MRI Technologists, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient data, test results, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and workflow efficiency.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior MRI Technologists, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and department operations.
Requirements
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Two or more years of progressively more responsible MRI Technologist work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
