Position Overview:
We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Heavy Industrial Estimator to spearhead our estimating division.

This pivotal leadership position is designed for a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in heavy industrial estimation, specifically within the water and wastewater treatment domain.

The Senior Estimator will oversee all estimation functions, ensuring the precision and competitiveness of our proposals while mentoring junior estimators.

This role is vital for advancing our strategic goals and upholding our exceptional standards in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:


Lead and coordinate the estimation process for large-scale, intricate heavy industrial projects, particularly in water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Supervise the development of detailed cost estimates, ensuring alignment with project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.

Direct self-performance estimation in key areas such as process piping and equipment, underground utilities, structural concrete, earthwork, and miscellaneous metals.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect and verify cost data, maintaining high accuracy standards.

Assess and review subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements and financial objectives.

Establish and refine sophisticated cost databases, models, and estimation methodologies.

Identify and address potential risks, opportunities, and uncertainties that may impact project costs and timelines.

Provide strategic guidance in the preparation of bid proposals, including comprehensive cost breakdowns and justifications.

Mentor and nurture junior estimators and team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Stay updated on industry trends, labor rates, material costs, and innovative construction techniques to enhance estimation practices and accuracy.

Work closely with senior management to ensure alignment of estimation strategies with organizational goals and project objectives.

Salary:
$200,000 - $220,000, based on experience.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.

15+ years of experience in heavy industrial estimating with a specialization in water and wastewater treatment projects.

Extensive background in self-performance estimation for process piping and equipment, underground utilities, structural concrete, earthwork, and miscellaneous metals.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven record of managing and mentoring a team of estimators.

Advanced analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with a strong ability to manage complex estimation processes.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, capable of effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Ability to work independently and juggle multiple high-priority tasks in a dynamic environment.
