We are in search of a highly skilled Senior Estimator for Heavy Industrial Projects to be part of our Phoenix office.
This position is well-suited for an experienced professional with 5-10 years of expertise in heavy industrial estimation, particularly in the water and wastewater treatment domain.
As a Senior Estimator, you will spearhead the estimation processes for large-scale and intricate projects, ensuring accuracy and strategic insight in cost evaluations.
Your proficiency will be vital in guiding our projects toward successful completions, aligning with both budgetary and operational objectives.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and oversight of comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale heavy industrial projects, specifically within water and wastewater treatment facilities.
Supervise self-performance estimation efforts in process piping and equipment, underground utilities, structural concrete, earthworks, and structural/miscellaneous metals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect and validate cost data, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
Review and assess subcontractor bids and proposals, ensuring they align with project specifications and financial goals.
Establish and maintain advanced cost databases and models, utilizing industry knowledge and historical data.
Identify and evaluate potential risks, opportunities, and uncertainties that may impact project costs and timelines.
Provide strategic assistance in preparing bid proposals, including detailed cost breakdowns and justifications.
Mentor and support junior estimators and team members, promoting a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Stay informed about industry trends, labor rates, material costs, and emerging construction methodologies to enhance estimation precision and efficiency.
Salary:
$180,000 - $200,000, based on experience.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
5-10 years of experience in heavy industrial estimating with a concentration on water and wastewater treatment projects.
Demonstrated experience in self-performance estimation for process piping and equipment, underground utilities, structural concrete, earthworks, and structural/miscellaneous metals.
Strong leadership and project management capabilities with the ability to guide and oversee a team.
Advanced analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with a proven track record in successful project cost management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently and manage complex tasks and deadlines in a dynamic environment.
