Job Summary

The Lease Operator I position at Apache Corporation is a critical role in the company's US Onshore Operations. Reporting to the Foreman at the Artesia, NM office, this individual will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Apache-operated properties.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide lease surveillance to ensure wells are producing at maximum rates and equipment is operating safely and efficiently

• Accurately measure and report daily production

• Prepare daily and monthly production reports

• Inspect facilities for operational safety and environmental compliance

• Take fluid levels and well tests, calculate downhole pump efficiency, and accurately gauge production tanks

• Troubleshoot and repair day-to-day operational issues

• Maintain accurate seal records and review amp readings to ensure pump units are in balance

• Ensure all contractors and Apache personnel follow safety requirements and procedures

• Develop an awareness to optimize production and track goals and plans for properties using Scout

• Witness sales of oil and condensate and correct any unsafe conditions or practices immediately

• Maintain and use safety equipment as required and report any safety violations to the immediate supervisor

• Safeguard all company assets and report any environmental incidents or potential incidents immediately

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 8 years of related experience. They must be proficient in Microsoft applications and other PC-based computer applications. Additionally, they should be able to anticipate and recognize problems, develop solutions with minimal coaching, and ensure accuracy of all reports. Familiarity with lease equipment and functions, as well as adequate knowledge to identify downhole problems, is also required.
