Job Title: Air Export Agent

As an Air Export Agent, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement of air export shipments from initial customer contact to final destination. Your key responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and ensure timely bookings with airlines on behalf of customers
  • Prepare export documentation, including entry into computer operations programs, in accordance with country requirements
  • Prepare and submit necessary documents, such as Certificates of Origin, Cargo Manifests, and other required documents
  • Compliant filing of AES (Automated Export System) with US Customs
  • Responsible for timely completion of export documents and coordination with customers, warehouses, airlines, gateway operations, and dispatch for timely movement of cargo
  • Ongoing communication with customers and overseas offices regarding shipment movement
  • Follow-up with airlines to track departure information and updates
  • Responsible for file-level profitability and audit charges for accuracy prior to sending to accounting for payment
  • Confirm payment responsibility and audit credit status as needed
  • Ensure customer profiles are accurate and up-to-date

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Minimum of 2 years of logistics/freight forwarding industry experience
  • Logis Air/Cargo Wise systems knowledge is a plus
  • Hazmat certification is a plus
