Position Overview: The On-site Construction Project Manager will oversee and execute daily tasks related to the physical construction of new and renovation projects, with budgets ranging from $100,000 to $50,000,000. The primary goal is to ensure that all projects are completed in alignment with the established Quality Control Plan and Safety Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate all necessary project site deliverables, manage site planning and logistics, and oversee contract administration, cost management, time management, quality control, and safety protocols.
  • Facilitate coordination among contractors, subcontractors, design consultants, and staff to ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion, maintaining complete oversight of all onsite construction activities.

Detailed Duties:

  • Document and oversee all project site operations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Participate in design kickoff and review meetings.
  • Support the corporate office in developing project staff capabilities.
  • Coordinate onsite activities with corporate office operations.
  • Manage jobsite administration and field supervision.
  • Assist in procuring subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate project schedules and updates.
  • Oversee direct labor force and maintain labor relations.
  • Manage subcontractor schedules, quality of work, and payment processes.
  • Coordinate cost-progress targets and production efforts.
  • Identify and resolve project changes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with owners, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and emergency personnel.
  • Conduct onsite project reviews and preparatory meetings with owners and subcontractors.
  • Ensure adherence to the project site Safety and Health Plan as per contract documents and regulations.
  • Maintain the project site Quality Control Plan (QCP) in accordance with contract documents and specifications.
  • Interpret architectural, construction, or engineering plans and specifications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to address work procedures, complaints, and construction challenges.
  • Assess labor requirements.
  • Prepare and submit budget estimates along with progress and cost tracking reports.
  • Inspect and review projects to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Draft contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Obtain necessary permits and licenses.
  • Implement actions to mitigate delays, adverse weather, or emergencies at the project site.
  • Plan the project in logical phases and allocate time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Clarify plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients representing the owner.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, or delays at construction sites and ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Document onsite activities for project close-out and prepare as-built drawings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Construction Project Management, specifically for medical facilities, is required.
  • Possession of an American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) Healthcare Construction Certificate (HCC) is preferred. The American Hospital Association's (AHA) Certified Healthcare Constructor (CHC) certification may be accepted in lieu of the HCC.

Education:

  • The ideal candidate should possess relevant work experience.
  • A BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
