Experienced Tax Specialist - Prestigious CPA Firm with Strong Culture and Competitive Compensation

We are a well-established, full-service CPA firm offering a comprehensive range of traditional audit/review, tax, and accounting services to a diverse clientele, including both individuals and businesses across various sizes.

We are currently in search of an Experienced Tax Specialist to enhance our dynamic finance team.

This role presents a unique opportunity for a highly driven and meticulous professional to utilize their tax knowledge and take charge of our tax department.

The selected individual will be primarily responsible for:

  • Overseeing all tax-related functions, including tax planning, compliance, and research.
  • Implementing strategic initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and ensure accuracy in tax reporting.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and prepare all tax operations, ensuring timely and accurate tax reporting.
  • Develop and execute strategic tax planning initiatives to mitigate tax risks.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local income tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax laws.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and examinations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax legislation and provide insights on their financial implications.
  • Lead and mentor the tax team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with various departments to offer tax advice and support business decisions.
  • Prepare and present tax reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in tax.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and various types of tax returns.
  • Strong understanding of tax codes, compliance, and procedures for corporations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex tax information clearly.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
