Part-time Lecturer AY in Technical Theatre

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-time Lecturer AY in Technical Theatre to join our team at Sonoma State University.
About the DepartmentThe Department of Theatre Arts & Dance at Sonoma State University is committed to providing a comprehensive education in the performing arts. Our faculty are actively engaged in professional work throughout the SF Bay Area and beyond, as directors, choreographers, dramaturgs, voice and movement specialists, performers, writers and more.
Responsibilities- Teach courses in Technical Theatre, including Costumes, Design Aesthetics, Drafting/Rendering, Lighting, Scenery, Sound, Stagecraft, Stage Management, Senior Projects, and/or Technical Theatre-based General Education courses.
- Design and teach classes consistent with approved curriculum.
- Grade students and be available for office hours and fulfill standard SSU teaching duties.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Theatre Arts or appropriate professional experience.
- Preferred: MFA in Theatre and 2-3 years of experience teaching theater arts at the undergraduate level.
Full-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $4,530 - $6,056 per full-time month.
Selection as a candidate in the applicant pool, does not guarantee employment. Temporary Faculty appointments are made on a part-time, temporary basis and contingent upon department needs and funding.
Temporary Faculty appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis. Relocation expenses will not be provided for temporary faculty appointments. Expenses incurred to attend an interview for temporary faculty positions are not reimbursed by the University.
