Under the guidance of the Director of Outpatient and Partial Program, the clinician will provide individual, family, and group therapy tailored to the needs of clients. Responsibilities include scheduling and managing appointments, maintaining communication with families, and ensuring adherence to a consistent weekly schedule. Documentation of all therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes is essential, along with regular communication with supervisors and other treatment team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Communication:

  • Maintain therapy appointments and follow up on cancellations.
  • Correspond with families regarding missed sessions.
  • Obtain necessary signatures on documentation.
  • Notify supervisors of any emergencies promptly.
  • Participate in scheduled supervision sessions.
  • Consult with psychiatrists and psychologists as needed.

Direct Care:

  • Deliver child-centered, family-focused therapy.
  • Encourage family involvement in treatment.
  • Provide group therapy as directed.
  • Respond to crisis situations effectively.

Documentation:

  • Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Document all client interactions and therapy sessions.
  • Maintain updated treatment plans and discharge summaries.

Planning:

  • Schedule meetings with guardians for treatment planning.
  • Maintain organized records for all assigned clients.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend required training sessions.
  • Complete chart reviews and discharge paperwork as assigned.
  • Adhere to professional ethics and agency policies.

Core Competencies:

  • Effective communication and professional interaction skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Deliver therapeutic services effectively.
  • Complete documentation to required standards.

Education:

  • Master's Degree in a clinical mental health discipline with relevant coursework.

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a mental health setting with children.

Special Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to engage with individuals in diverse environments.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to navigate physical spaces safely.
  • Capability to perform de-escalation techniques.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
