Position Overview:
This is a full-time position with a structured work schedule of three days per week, specifically Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 7 PM, including assigned on-call shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Surgical Technologist, you will:
- Ensure a safe and efficient environment for surgical patients.
- Utilize your knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology to tailor patient care.
- Maintain aseptic techniques to uphold patient privacy and dignity.
- Prepare and understand the specific applications of all surgical instruments and equipment.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs to facilitate smooth surgical procedures.
- Enhance your skills in work organization and assist the surgical team effectively.
- Recognize emergency situations and respond appropriately.
- Commit to ongoing education and maintain your certification.
- Provide training and support to peers and students in the surgical technologist role.
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork in all surgical care aspects.
- Fulfill compliance responsibilities and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required: Certification as a Surgical Technologist.
Experience: A minimum of one year in a surgical setting is preferred.
Working Conditions:
This role requires significant manual dexterity and the ability to handle physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and exposure to various environmental factors.
