Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Danbury Hospital. As a key member of our operating room staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and efficient environment for surgical patients
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology to individualize patient care
  • Apply principles of asepsis to provide optimal patient care
  • Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons to expedite procedures and minimize patient stress
  • Develop and improve skills in organization and assisting surgeons
  • Identify emergency situations and respond accordingly
  • Participate in continuing education and maintain certification
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Surgical Technologist Certification
  • One year of experience
  • High school graduate or equivalent
Working Conditions:
  • Significant manual skills and motor coordination
  • Significant occupational risk
  • Very heavy physical effort
  • Significant exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and human waste
Salary Range:

$51.83 hourly + shift differentials
