About the Role

Polyarc Games is seeking a highly skilled Senior Game Designer to join our team. As a Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for championing customization systems that inspire player creativity through beautification and socialization of their personalized characters and dioramas.

You will work closely with our engineering team to establish and maintain gameplay systems and workflows, plan and implement customization assets with a robust assortment of options, and integrate and maintain game content through playtesting, acquiring feedback, and developing solutions with other developers.

As a Senior Designer at Polyarc, you will use your creative skills and craft-knowledge to enhance gameplay and build immersive, delightful experiences for our players. You will also excel at communication and effectively collaborate with other disciplines to bring a unifying project vision to life.

Responsibilities
  • Champion the player experience for customization systems
  • Work with engineering to establish and maintain gameplay systems/workflows
  • Plan and implement customization assets with a robust assortment of options
  • Integrate and maintain game content through playtesting, acquiring feedback, and developing solutions with other developers
  • Collaborate with and mentor others on your team as an advocate for design
  • Deliver impactful results while adhering to project pillars, goals, and milestones
  • Manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously, supporting other disciplines in addition to self-driven work
Qualifications
  • Professional experience working directly with other disciplines through all stages of game development and shepherding design goals when implementing gameplay systems
  • Proven track record of creating cohesive and compelling customization systems with associated content
  • Accustomed to translating sprint and milestone goals to playable design and validating resulting player experience via feedback and review
  • Experienced at working within constraints while using them to search out creative opportunities
  • Skilled in crafting concise documentation that inspires, shares key information, and/or defines functionality for technical implementation and testing
  • Knowledgeable in UE 4/5 with direct experience in comparable environment
What We Offer

Polyarc Games offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $151,000, with a total compensation target (cash + equity) of $150,000 to $167,500. Additionally, we offer a revenue sharing plan, health care benefits (medical, dental, and vision), 401K (company funds 3% contributions towards everyone's retirement plan), employee managed time off (up to 75 paid days that cover sick, parental, vacation, company holidays, and other personal leaves), long term disability insurance, and life & AD&D.
