Job Summary:
Echandia Marine LLC is seeking a highly skilled Purchaser to join our team. As a Purchaser, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the procurement and purchasing function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of components and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer all aspects of the purchasing process, including sourcing, pricing, and inventory management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-time delivery, product availability, and quality standards are met.
- Generate action plans and ensure goals are met or exceeded.
- Coordinate with customs and freight forwarders to ensure on-time shipping and reasonable pricing.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management and team members.
- Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and ensure compliance.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working in purchasing or procurement areas.
- Previous experience sourcing and buying for a manufacturing/assembly environment.
- Previous experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Higher education and/or bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Science, or a related field, preferably with a concentration in Supply Chain Management.
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office.
- Ability to work overtime if needed.
