Administrative Assistant Opportunity

The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a highly skilled and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team at Camp Seymour in Gig Harbor, WA.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to provide administrative support for our camp operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing paperwork, and providing exceptional customer service to campers, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative assistance, including data entry, database maintenance, and correspondence.
  • Maintain physical and electronic filing systems for all relevant information.
  • Receive and direct communications with staff and members through various channels.
  • Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
  • Convey information on programs and schedules, and refer members and participants to other programs as needed.
  • Establish goals, clarify tasks, and actively participate in meetings.
  • Support fundraising efforts and follow budgeting policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, organizational skills, communications, supervision, computer knowledge, and file maintenance.
  • Demonstrated professionalism in attitude and appearance.
  • Knowledge of YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties' procedures and policies.
  • Ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while working with members, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to understand, articulate, and enforce YMCA policies and procedures in a positive way.
  • Complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day and other required training as needed.
  • Pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
