About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Hoag. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect care to patients, assisting with maintenance and care of instruments and equipment, and participating in the surgical process under the supervision of an RN/Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with maintenance and care of instruments, supplies, and equipment according to manufacturer's instructions, standards of infection prevention, and institutional policies/procedures.
  • Participate in the surgical process, including scrubbing and assisting the physician and/or RN.
  • Identify, gather, and prepare instruments and equipment for procedures in a timely manner according to preference card.
  • Decontaminate, clean, and care for operating room equipment using clean/sterile technique.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1-year recent OR experience.
  • Solid computer technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products and additional organizational systems.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Scrub Technician program or equivalent military medical core training.
  • Certifications in BLS and Surgical Technologist (ST) preferred.
