Hoag is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in the surgical team, working under the direct supervision of an RN/Charge Nurse or Clinical Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of the surgical team, assisting physicians and/or RNs with direct and indirect patient care.
  • Assist with the maintenance, care, and decontamination of instruments, supplies, and equipment according to manufacturer instructions, infection prevention standards, and institutional policies.
  • Practice appropriate initiation and maintenance of sponge, needle, and miscellaneous item counts, as well as equipment management according to policy.
  • Identify, gather, and prepare instruments and equipment for procedures in a timely manner, adhering to preference cards.
  • Acknowledge physiologic needs for patients, including equipment size, body temperature maintenance, and patient safety.
  • May require on-call duty.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Scrub Technician program or equivalent military medical core training (not required for GI Lab).
  • Solid computer technical skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and additional organizational systems (Affinity, SMS, and PACS).
  • A minimum of 1-year recent OR experience preferred.
  • Qualified bilingual or multilingual candidates preferred.
