The Caton Companies is a prominent property management organization dedicated to enhancing community living through exceptional service and maintenance. We are currently in search of a Facilities Manager to oversee our maintenance operations across various properties.
Position Summary
The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of all physical facilities and residential units. This role includes:
- Maintaining the property to meet company standards, which encompasses general upkeep and repairs of mechanical systems, electrical installations, and plumbing.
- Delegating maintenance tasks to skilled personnel or supervisors equipped to handle specific issues.
- Managing budgets effectively and forecasting future maintenance costs.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily maintenance operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the Parts Department and manage inventory.
- Plan for departmental growth and development.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Experience in budget management and expense control.
- Proven track record in facilities management, preferably with supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems.
- EPA Certification for CFCs is required.
Supervisory Duties
The Facilities Manager will lead the maintenance team, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism are upheld.
Work Schedule
This is a full-time role that includes participation in an on-call emergency rotation.
Travel Requirements
Local travel is necessary, and a valid driver's license along with a personal vehicle is required.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma is required, along with three years of supervisory experience.
- Maintenance experience is essential.
- Preferred: Supervisory experience and CPO Certification.
