The Space Acquisition Policy Analyst will play a crucial role in developing and executing policies and processes that enhance the DAF's space acquisition strategies. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic work environment, managing various assignments with precision and thoroughness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitating oversight and decision-making for space acquisition initiatives.
  • Conducting thorough analyses and providing strategic recommendations on space acquisition requirements and program documentation.
  • Delivering unbiased assessments of policy adherence for space programs at critical decision points.
  • Monitoring compliance with established program directives and identifying potential issues.
  • Evaluating existing and proposed policies related to space acquisition and capability areas.
  • Assessing the implications of national and DOD policies on space acquisition efforts.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation of space acquisition policies and processes while creating informative briefings and training materials.
  • Providing timely analyses of urgent programmatic issues in relation to various governmental and military activities.
  • Supporting review processes across multiple oversight councils and boards.
  • Documenting requests related to Mandatory Declassification Review and Freedom of Information Act.
  • Keeping abreast of ongoing studies and analyses pertinent to space acquisition policy.
  • Performing additional tasks as required in alignment with the responsibilities outlined.
Qualifications
  • Active TS security clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience within the DAF staff or in a space program office is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional writing and editing capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced work environments while maintaining flexibility.
  • Experience in collaborating with senior executives across various organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard computer applications.
  • Ability to foster productive working relationships that encourage cooperation.
  • Effective communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering results collaboratively.
