Job Title: Sr Advanced Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Advanced Systems Engineer to join our team at General Dynamics Mission Systems. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the systems development life cycle, driving innovation and process improvements
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to facilitate discussions and drive technical solutions
  • Research and analyze data to determine feasibility of design or application
  • Perform requirements analysis, definition, management, functional analysis, performance analysis, and system design and definition
  • Support the generation of technical engineering products using industry standards and tools
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related field, or Master's degree with 6 years of experience
  • 8+ years of job-related experience, or Master's degree plus 6 years of experience
  • Agile experience preferred
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance preferred at time of hire, with ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe
Preferred Experience:
  • Satellite communications knowledge
  • Satellite constellation contact planning experience
  • Ground operations experience
  • Performs design of networks, with working knowledge of networking protocols
  • Performs detailed technical analyses for a software subsystem or system elements
