System Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer to support our team's technical operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in IT and at least 5 years of experience in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain backup solutions using Veeam software.
  • Provide technical support to the Service Desk team, addressing issues at the end-user, network, and server application levels.
  • Assist in creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Take a lead role in IT initiatives such as Backup/Recovery and Infrastructure Monitoring (On-Prem & Cloud).
  • Investigate abnormal conditions, notify stakeholders, and coordinate remedial actions as necessary.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and services.
  • Participate in IT systems project planning, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance.
  • Cross-train team members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical skills, including experience with hardware, software, operating systems, and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of backup concepts and technologies, with hands-on experience in Veeam software.
  • Veeam VMCE or VMCA certification preferred.
  • Self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Occasional requirement to travel or work after hours.
