Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled EEG Technologist to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As an EEG Technologist, you will play a critical role in performing electroencephalography (EEG) and long-term monitoring (LTM) procedures on adult and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and equipment for EEG and LTM procedures
  • Apply and connect scalp electrodes according to the International 10-20 system of electrode placement
  • Assist neurology and epilepsy fellows and senior EEG technicians during intracranial recording procedures
  • Monitor and annotate recordings within neurodiagnostic systems
  • Report on electrographic features and clinical manifestations noted in video recordings
  • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment
  • Communicate effectively with the team during seizures and clinical events
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Associate degree or higher in a related field (e.g., neurodiagnostic technology, neuroscience)
  • Three to four years of experience in a patient care function within a hospital or clinical setting
  • National board certification in EEG (REEGT) by ABRET-Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation Board or registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT) by BRPT
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience obtaining EEGs
  • Degree in Neurobiology or Neuroscience
