Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Location Manager to lead our Kearney location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, ensuring outstanding customer service, and driving sales in both equipment, service, and parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote sales, rental, and product support for all agricultural products represented by Butler Ag Equipment.
  • Manage store revenue and operating costs to provide reasonable profit margins for the company.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements, market share reports, and KPIs to address variants and deficiencies.
  • Review customer account balances and assist with collections.
  • Assist the management team in setting goals and forecasts that are realistic and attainable.
  • Provide guidance to the store's management team, including establishing departmental procedures, assisting with problem-solving issues, and addressing challenges to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Effectively partner with the regional Product Support Manager and other Department Heads and Store/Branch Managers to ensure consistent application of company-wide policies.
  • Direct management of sales personnel, including assigning market territories, providing guidance and training, and managing sales funnels to include activities, opportunities, and quotes.
  • Responsible for account management on a few identified key accounts out of the store.
  • Monitor targeted margins, used trade values, used inventory turns, and other sales performance metrics and provide corrective actions when needed.
  • Review buyer's and rental orders for accuracy and compliance with company programs.
  • Provide for a safe and clean work environment for all associates by promoting Butler Ag Equipment's safety culture for all associates.
  • Ensure all associates have access to and complete safety training and technical job training on a regular basis.
  • Assist with industry-related trade shows.
  • Be an active member in industry-related associations.
  • Work within and promote the vision, mission, and values of Butler Ag Equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Duties
  • Supervise sales workforce, department managers, and support staff.
  • Organize, communicate, and delegate responsibilities and priorities to subordinates.
  • Encourage and monitor career development, providing technical training, coaching, and expertise as needed.
  • Ensure compliance of store employees to performance standards through coaching, counseling, and conducting performance reviews as needed, but no less than annually.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivates employees, and promotes self-development.
Requirements
  • Management experience strongly preferred, preferably in a related industry, or equivalent experience, training, and background. A Bachelor's degree in business is a plus.
  • Prior sales experience is beneficial.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Accounting and finance skills.
  • Equipment/industry knowledge.
  • Good computer knowledge with experience in Microsoft Suite.
