Position Overview:
As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while efficiently managing sales transactions. Your responsibilities will include operating the cash register, ensuring accurate cash handling, and safeguarding company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding customer service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, greeting each customer, and demonstrating strong product knowledge.
  • Stay informed about current promotions and advertisements to assist customers effectively.
  • Process sales transactions accurately by scanning items and adhering to safety and security protocols. Handle various payment methods including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
  • Communicate customer inquiries and requests to management as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized register area, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Perform cash drawer counts at the beginning and end of shifts to verify accuracy and ensure sufficient change is available. Request change or cash as necessary and notify management for any deposits.
  • Handle customer payments accurately and provide correct change.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise as required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in processing transactions through the register system.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to read, count, and write to complete necessary documentation accurately.
  • Familiarity with operating essential equipment for the role.
  • Basic arithmetic skills for handling cash transactions.
  • Experience in cash handling and counting.

Compensation:
Starting at $18 per hour
