Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients and equipment for exams and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas, adhering to strict infection control and safety protocols.
  • Return phone messages to patients, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers, providing timely and accurate communication.
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens and requisitions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Schedule and obtain authorizations for referrals and procedures, streamlining the patient care process.
  • Prepare and perform radiology diagnostics (x-rays) based on training and experience, contributing to accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Provide front-office clerical support, including worker compensation verification, answering phones, scheduling appointments, referrals, obtaining prior authorizations, and scheduling procedures and/or diagnostic tests.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Medical Assistant: High school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and current credentialing with a recognized medical assisting organization.
  • LPN: Current license to practice in NC or SC, graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing, previous medical office experience, and BLS certification.
  • Paramedic: High school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, completion of an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic program, and current certification as an EMT-Paramedic.
