Medical Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Paramedic/LPN/CNA/Clinical Asst to join our team at CaroMont Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:- Prepare patients and equipment for exams and procedures
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Return phone messages to patients, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers
- Collect and prepare lab specimens and lab requisitions accurately
- Schedule and obtain authorizations for referrals and procedures
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Support the care team with various office and clinical duties to ensure efficient operation of the healthcare practice
- Provide front office support duties, including greeting and welcoming patients, collecting co-payments, scheduling appointments, and updating patient demographics
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in medical assisting, paramedicine, or nursing. The ideal candidate will have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification or licensure in medical assisting, paramedicine, or nursing (dependent on the practice's location)
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Proficiency in computer software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
