The Construction Project Manager will oversee the management of significant construction programs or multiple projects. This role involves providing decisive leadership in business operations, technical oversight, and personnel management across various disciplines. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining comprehensive daily progress and inspection reports.
- Leading a team focused on inspection and quality assurance to guarantee effective project oversight.
- Acting as a senior advisor to the Program Manager, ensuring alignment with project goals.
The Construction Project Manager will also be responsible for coordinating daily activities on-site and managing all construction or engineering personnel. This role is crucial for ensuring the productivity and safety of all personnel involved in the project.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Secret clearance is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution along with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
- At least two years of management experience on construction projects in sub-Saharan Africa or other post-conflict regions.
- Experience as the senior-most or second most-senior individual on-site for the project.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects valued at $1.5 million or more.
- A minimum of three years of construction experience, with at least two years focusing on vertical construction overseas.
- Experience with OCONUS projects, particularly in Africa, is highly desirable.
- Possession of PMP or Construction Management Certification (CCM) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of government policies and procedures related to construction.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a complex environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills.
