Job Title: Financial Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Expert to join our team at APCO Worldwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting process and financial aspects for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage client invoicing and track accounts receivable, following up where needed to ensure timely invoicing and payment
  • Ensure accurate monthly revenue recognition, systematic budgeting and forecasting of assigned clients
  • Coordinate accurate project set-ups based on contractual terms, budget tracking, vendor and consultant invoice reconciliation and tracking, client back-up and analysis requests, etc.
  • Ensure APCO's contracting, revenue recognition and billing policies and procedures are followed, and coordinate with project leaders around client contracts
  • Undertake ongoing analysis and provide proactive analysis on client financial performance including over-servicing, labor margin, profitability and staffing leverage to project leaders and senior staff in billing and business management
  • Respond to inquiries from APCO project managers and clients (both client project managers and client procurement and sourcing managers) as necessary
  • Reporting Actual vs budget - LTD, YTD, MTD for the client and APCO leadership

Requirements:

  • Previous project accounting/analyst experience in a professional services organization
  • BS degree business/accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of finance & accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel skills/computerized accounting
  • Experience working within tight reporting deadlines
  • Proactive ability to manage a dynamic workload
  • MS Office and Maconomy experience preferred
  • Experience working within a small-to-midsize international company environment is preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Relevant professional qualification in accounting desirable

Compensation Range:

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $105,000 per year. While we provide competitive compensation, it's important to note that for new hires, salaries typically align with the lower end of the range, taking into account factors such as experience, qualifications, and internal equity considerations.
